Nocturnist opening in Wisconsin - Located in Racine, WI - Milwaukee 30m, Chicago 75m - Full-time, permanent position - Schedule: 7 day on/7 day off - Call Schedule: none - Practice Detail: collaborative, team-based approach - EMR System: EPIC - Visa Eligibility: H1-B Practice Opportunity: - 24/7 model with 7 days on/7 days off - Daily census 14-18 patients per day, which includes Admissions and Follow-ups - Great working relationship with Emergency Department providers and other specialists - Join a supportive collegial team of: 20 physicians and 4 APPs, who are well respected team members of - 7 providers on during the day and 2 providers on at night (all 12-hr shifts) - Designated Nocturnist team that covers nights - Closed ICU with strong intensivist support - Must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine - Highly competitive compensation package with generous benefits and a lucrative retirement plan - Ability to do procedures if desired and once preceptored - Anesthesia and Surgery available for central line placement - Respiratory therapy or Anesthesia available for intubations - A community hospital that has 350 license beds - Operate from one hospital campus - Excellent rapport between local administration and the medical group Responsibilities: Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
