Hospitalist opening in Madison, WI
- Full-time, permanent position
Position Highlights:
- **Flexible Scheduling**: Self-scheduling with 15-16 shifts per month. Options include 12-hour rounding shifts (7a-7p), 10-hour staggered admitting shifts, 6-hour admitting shifts, and overnight shifts. Dedicated Nocturnists cover the overnight hours.
- **Collaborative Care Environment**: Work within an open ICU supported by intensivists and a comprehensive specialty support network.
- **Quality Patient Care**: Expect an average daily census of 13-15 patients and approximately 30 admissions per day. No required procedures, though limited ultrasound procedures are optional.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary responder for codes unless otherwise covered by an intensivist.
- Provide care within a mixed inpatient and admission-focused role.
- Collaborate with specialists to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Ensure a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO, Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin.
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt).
