Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Hospitalist to join their dynamic medical team. The Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient care to hospitalized patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. This position focuses on managing and coordinating patient care during their hospital stay, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care and excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for hospitalized patients with a broad range of conditions.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, establish treatment plans, and manage ongoing care throughout the hospital stay.
- Coordinate care among specialists, consultants, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Address and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including emergencies, during the patient’s hospital stay.
- Conduct daily rounds on assigned patients, monitor clinical progress, and update family members as appropriate.
- Work closely with nursing, pharmacy, and allied health professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans.
- Facilitate patient and family education to ensure informed decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives, including reporting of adverse events, near misses, and patient satisfaction scores.
- Stay current with medical research, treatment protocols, and hospital practices through continuing education, seminars, and conferences.
- Mentor medical students, residents, and other learners in clinical settings.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
- Board certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine. Active, unrestricted medical license in New Jersey.

Please note- The annual base salary range is $225k to $245k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
