Local Team Collaboration:
- We’re a small, talented team of two physicians at Rockville General who collaborate with other hospital staff and departments to bring our patients the best possible quality of care.
- Active involvement in hospital committees is common on our team, solidifying our relationships with specialists and receiving strong support from our hospital’s leadership.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified/eligible internal medicine or family medicine.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Practice in the Hearth of the Community
Flexible Scheduling:
- Full-time schedules follow 7 days on and 7 days off rotation, offering a balanced work-life rhythm.
- Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing consistent and predictable hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- The hospital has 100 beds. There is no medical unit or ICU.
- At Rockville, we perform Geri psych H&Ps, psych consults, and ED admissions transferred to Manchester Memorial.
- Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response team and runs codes on patients not in the ED. We’re all certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
- You will be the only hospitalist on-site, but the support of the hospitalist team at Manchester Memorial is just a phone call away.
- We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
- We use Meditech and have access to our internal informatics platform.
- You also will be credentialed at Manchester Memorial (20 minutes away) with the opportunity to work some of your shifts there for a change of working environment
