Position Overview:
We seek a full-time Hospitalist to join our dynamic team in a non-academic hospital system near Alexandria, LA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work a 7-on-7-off schedule, providing you with the flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance. As a Hospitalist with in-Hospital Physicians, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care without the burden of procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily rounds on assigned patients, providing comprehensive care and management.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
  • Collaborate with specialists and nursing staff to ensure coordinated care and timely interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge plans.
  • Document patient encounters and updates in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Mentor and guide nursing staff and medical trainees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Experience in a hospitalist role is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position with a 7 on/7 off schedule.
  • No procedures are required.
