Clinical Details

• Percent of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 10
• Percent of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 2
• Trauma Level/Designation: IV
• 25 Beds
• 2400 Annual ER Visits
• Cover both the ER and the Hospital
• ED Staff Respond to House Codes, Facility has a code team and they respond depending on level of seriousness
• Facility delivers babies in emergency situations
• ED is Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio
• Transfer Protocol: Hospitalist or team member contacts the referral facility (no specific facility), 3 facilities used regularly
• EMS is in house
• Air Ambulance Response Time & Travel Time to Referral Center: 30 to 40 minutes
• 24 Hour Availability for Radiology & Laboratory
• Blood Bank - Certified by AABB
• Surgical Services: General during the Day

Requirements

• Board Certified in Family Medicine
  • will accept board eligible within 5 years of residency
• Active IA License or IMLC
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS, NRP, PALS
• Provider must be Local (within driving distance to the facility)
• Required Procedures: Non-Invasive Vent Management, Ventilation management, Intubation, Chest Tube insertion, Central Line, PICC Line, Gynecology/Orthopedic/Surgery, Suturing of Minor Lacerations, I & D
