Job Summary
Job Description
To prospective teammates,
I’m the medical director for MultiCare Covington Hospital in Covington, Washington. I have been a part of Sound for two years. I’m proud of the hospitalist practice we have built and welcome interest from physicians out of training or experienced physicians desiring a career change. My decision to join Sound stemmed from the desire for change and my family’s love for the Pacific Northwest. We also have family and close friends here and wanted to be close to them. I want to share more about it, specifically about our people, practice, and purpose, as you consider options.
People
- We are a closely knit, established team of six physicians, with the support of a clinical performance nurse.
- An extremely diverse group of clinicians from all over the globe.
- We have a very laid-back group who consider each other family rather than co-workers
- A very friendly culture where we are a family and everyone in the facility knows each other well.
Practice
- Most of us like to spend time with our families or the outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we’re out
- Our facility offers a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere in a smaller setting.
- We have a strong relationship with our excellent nursing staff.
- The facility is equipped with modern, up-to-date equipment.
- We handle lower patient volumes and acuity levels.
- There is no ICU, and no procedures are required, though we do manage codes.
- Every month we try to do a social event, group hikes, fishing, and general outdoor activities. We also love our holiday parties.
- The expected yearly compensation is $288k – $300k.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
- H1B eligible; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts; all required filing fees for the visa are paid and services covered
Purpose
- We put patients first. Always.
- A focus on growth and development is a key feature of Sound’s practices, where teammates can expand their careers here locally and within the broader medical group.
- We’re a community-minded team and encourage our team members who want to contribute in and out of the hospital to help make our local community thrive.
