Job Description:

  • Must be available to start on January 1, 2025
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Full-time schedule with a 7 days on / 7 days off / 24-hour call rotation
  • Experience working with CNPs to share workload during daytime hours and to admit and care for patients during evening shift
  • Familiarity with contracted e-ICU services for consults
  • Ability to collaborate with strong specialist support in areas such as General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurology, ENT, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, OB/GYN, Pathology, and Radiology
  • Mix of experienced and recently trained physicians and APPs is preferred.
  • Interest in practicing medicine in a community-oriented environment that is described as a rewarding place to practice, a great community to raise a family, and offers many leisure time options.
  • Ability to work in a "physician friendly" administration, with a history of long-term practice and retirement from the area.
  • Proven experience in cooperative relationships with clinical departments such as Cardiology, Emergency Department, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy.
  • Appreciation for strong local support of the Hospitalist program.
  • Preferably familiar with working in an independent, community hospital with strong financial standing, well-maintained inpatient and outpatient facilities, up-to-date medical and IT technology, and serving a multi-county area.
