Seeking a BE/BC Internal or Family Medicine physician to join a Hospitalist team in northern eastern Maine. Join two local hospitalists and two part-time hospitalists in a 25-bed critical access hospital with an active 10-bed ED.
About the position:
- Coverage is 24/7, being in the hospital probably from 7a to 3p
- Call thereafter, mostly by phone, but occasionally called back to the hospital at one daily rate.
- Admissions average 1 to 4 daily
- Very manageable caseload
- Employed position
- All admissions through the Emergency Department
- Patient types: Four intermediate care beds (No ICU), Medical/Surgical, Observation, Swing and Days Waiting Placement
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- Strong nursing and support staff
- Robust salary and benefit package
