Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our established, close-knit team of seven physicians and five advanced practice providers at Providence East Campus, with the support of a clinical performance nurse.
  • Our team consists of providers with a wealth of knowledge in internal medicine practice. Many of our providers have attended local programs during residency and greatly understand the needs of the community of El Paso. Our providers who have attended other residency programs around the country have given our team perspectives and fresh outlook on managing our patients better to help improve outcomes in our community.
  • We enjoy engaging with our hospital partners in various committees such as trauma, cardiology, sepsis, code blue, patient experience, and hospital throughput, to name a few, to provide quality outcomes for our patients together. Our hospital partners are integral to our team, and we enjoy collaborating regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.

Flexible Scheduling:

  • We offer an array of flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome the challenge of complex cases, working in a semi-open ICU with intensivist coverage during the day and E-ICU coverage at night.
  • Our team is not expected to do procedures, but we play a key role in the code blue team.
  • For those who like to teach, we work with medical students, APPs, and residents from Sierra East Campus, part of Burrell College of Medicine and the University of Texas at El Paso programs.
  • The team convenes monthly for team meetings to discuss important topics and provide educational opportunities that aid in growing the quality of care we provide.
