- A 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital- named a Top 100 Hospital nationally- easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services.
- Level II Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)- staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists & NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bank
- Level III Trauma Center offering post-graduate education programs on site, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, Cardiology Fellowship, and Palliative Care Fellowship
- Join the team of 3 full-time Pediatric Hospitalists
- Schedule negotiable/flexible- 3 - 48 hr shifts & 1 – 24 hr shift in a 28-day cycle.
- Avg daily volume of 3-4 normal nursery, 3-4 NICU, up to 8 pediatric patients
- Teaching responsibilities of residents and medical students
- Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.
- Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program is required.
- Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
- Above average communication skills
- Ability to work with a team
