**Hospitalist opening in Madison, WI**
**Details:**
- Full-time, permanent position
- 15-16 shifts per month
- 12-hour rounding shifts 7a-7p
- 10-hour admitting shifts; staggered: 11a-9p, 12p-10p, 3p-1a
- 6-hour admitting shift; 5p-11p
- Overnights; 9p-7a; there are dedicated Nocturnists
- Open ICU with intensivist availability to consult
- Full spectrum of specialty support available
**Responsibilities:**
- Average census of 13-15
- No required procedures; option to do some limited ultrasound procedures
- Hospitalists are primary responders for codes unless intensivist takes over
- Overnight shifts covered by Nocturnists/Telehospitalists
- Average of 30 admits per day
- Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
**Qualifications:**
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Wisconsin
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
