**Hospitalist opening near San Diego, CA** * Located in ***Escondido, CA*** - just 30 miles from San Diego! * Full-time, permanent opening * Group employed * 7 on/7 off, 12 hour shifts * IM preferred, but willing to consider FM trained physicians * Must have done inpatient work over the past 12 months to be privileged * Dedicated 24/7 Intensivist service, but they admit DKA/Post-TPA strike patients to ICU - essentially ICU lite * Focus is admits and cross coverage - Only involved in new cases when ER calls for an admit * No discharge responsibility **Compensation:** ***Salary Guarantee:*** * 2 years, $300k * Shifts to productivity model after 2 years * Option to shift to productivity earlier if desired! ***Productivity Incentive:*** * Expected to work a rotating schedule of seven (7) 12-hour days on, seven (7) days off * Each shift is assigned a unit value, and you must work at least 15 units a month during the Guarantee Period * If you pick up any additional shifts/units above your normal 15 during the Guarantee Period, you will be compensated for such as follows: * 6am - 6pm (1.0 units): $1,560 * 7am - 4pm (0.75 units): $1,170 * 4pm - 10pm (0.7115 units): $1,110 * 10pm - 6am (0.9487 units): $1,480 **Benefits:** * Medical and Dental coverage * Vision discount program * 100% employer paid group life and long-term disability * Voluntary life and Short-term disability coverage * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts * 401(K) with match * Wellness program * Rewards and recognition program * Paid time off (starting at 16 days annually) * Competency and skills training and development * Annual performance review program with possible merit increase * Educational/professional development * Fun organization-wide and department events * Community fundraisers
