Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic pediatrician to serve as Section Chief in Pediatric Hospitalist. As the Section Chief, you will lead and oversee the Pediatric Hospitalist division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to pediatric patients admitted to the hospital. You will provide clinical leadership, administrative oversight, and strategic direction to advance the mission and objectives of the Pediatric Hospitalist section.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical leadership and supervision to pediatric hospitalists, residents, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals working in the Pediatric Hospitalist division.
Oversee the management of pediatric patients admitted to the hospital, ensuring timely and appropriate medical care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective care transitions.
Develop and implement clinical protocols, pathways, and quality improvement initiatives to standardize care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and optimize resource utilization in the pediatric inpatient setting.
Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork within the Pediatric Hospitalist section, promoting communication, collaboration, and continuous learning among team members.
Participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of clinical staff within the Pediatric Hospitalist division.
Provide mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities to junior faculty, residents, fellows, and other trainees interested in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
Collaborate with other departments and specialties within the institution to ensure coordinated and integrated care for pediatric patients admitted to the hospital.
Engage in academic activities, including teaching, research, and scholarly pursuits, to advance the field of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and contribute to the academic mission of the institution.
Represent the Pediatric Hospitalist section in leadership meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives within the institution.

Qualifications

MD or DO required; board certified/eligible.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills also required.
Previous experience as a pediatric hospitalist or leadership position required.
Licensure in Pennsylvania (Preferred)
2+ to 5 years experience Required.
Strong clinical skills and expertise in pediatric inpatient care.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and academic excellence.
