We are hiring a Hospitalist and Nocturnist. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be board certified/eligible.
  • We accept both internal medicine and family medicine trained physicians. Hospitalist experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
  • ACLS certification is mandatory.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Scheduling:

  • 7 days on, 7 days off.
  • Open day hospitalist position shift is 8 AM – 8 PM and the nocturnist shift is 8 PM – 8 AM.
  • Daily coverage for all positions is:
    • Eleven day rounding physicians (8a-8p)/day, one admitter physician (8a-8p)/day, one swing physician (10 hours shift 3p-1a)/day, and one nocturnist physician (8p-8a)/day.
    • Two day APPs (one rounding, one admitting 8a-8p)/day and two night APPs (cross cover and admitting)/day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality, comprehensive medical care and post operative care to a 977-bed facility (241 beds covered by Sound).
  • Manage responsibility of the floor pager and collaborate with the Nocturnist.
  • Receive high volume of transfers from a broad referral area, including a Level IV trauma center, and comprehensive stroke center.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
