People First in Plainwell
Local Team Collaboration:
- We are an established team of two physicians at Ascension Borgess Pipp Hospital.
- Ascension Borgess Pipp Hospital is a 25-bed long-term acute care hospital. We are a well-run facility with an experienced administrator and nursing staff to support us.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
- New graduates, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply.
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Flexible Scheduling:
- On average, one physician works daily from 8 am – 4 pm.
- The day physician takes calls throughout the day until 7 PM, and calls after seven are routed to the nocturnist on call at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
- We have a flexible schedule and cover for each other when we’re out.
Key Responsibilities:
- We care for an average of 8-14 patients.
- Procedures are not required, but we do see high-acuity patients who may require wound care, vents, and other inpatient rehab services.
- There is a pulmonologist who manages the vents.
- Codes are rare; when they occur, they are run by the emergency department.
