Excellent opportunity for a BE/BC Hospitalist interested in practicing in Kansas City, MO suburb! Great location with easy access by highways.

• The physician will take admissions from the ED, direct admissions from outside providers and consults from specialists.
• Full-time rate is $1600/12-hour shift ($133.33 per hour)
• Night call is paid as follows: $200/night; additional $250 if physician has to come to hospital (very rare).
• Shifts are 7a-7p (full-time=180 shifts/year)
• Average daily patient load is 20/shift
• Open ICU- follow patients, run codes, no procedures
• ICU is 8 bed, typical census is 5-6.
• Nurse practitioners work days to assist with rounding and admits, etc.
• Nurse practitioners work nights 7p-7a (no physician nocturnist)
• Daytime physician hospitalists are in call rotation to provide support for night NPs- average frequency is 7 night call shifts/month if full time.
• Large team dedicated to discharges assists with placement.
• Flexible call schedule limits admission times and gets you home early on most days.
