Locums Neuro Hospitalist in Pennsylvania day coverage is needed

Start Date: ASAP (Coverage need may be on-going)

Coverage Needs Details:

• Monday-Friday 8a -8p hospital coverage every other week
• Consult service only, working with an APP
• Acute stroke handled by outside UPMC telestroke department
• Some weekend opportunities needed

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Active PA license or providers who need to obtain a license
• Board Status: Board Certified, Board Eligible
• Required Certifications: BLS, CPR
• Requirement Notes: stroke CMEs - 8 per year, does not need upon arrival, but will in practice.
• ENLS preferred. EEG interpreting preferred

SHIFT/SCHEDULE INFORMATION

• M-F | 8a-8p |
• 24hr Weekend Call: Fri-Mon | 8a-8a | (Occasionally needed)

JOB INFORMATION

• Typical Day: 15-18 patients mix new consults and follow-ups seen with you and an APP general neurology mix non-trauma,
• Medical ICU, working with general neurosurgery, neurocritical care, intensivists, hospitalists, ED providers and nurses
• Provider will work solo
• Patient Mix: 100% Adult
• AVG admissions while on call: 2-4
• APP/Midlevel coverage available | dayshift | APPs can help filter routine consults stat neuro questions/concerns
• Other specialties onsite: EEG routine, LTM, EMU General neurosurgery neurocritical care
• Procedures: LPs done in IR
