A highly awarded rural health system in northern Maine is adding a Hospitalist.
About the Opportunity
- Medical Center, with a total licensed capacity of 74 beds also operates a 65-bed acute care hospital
- Well-known for its patient-centered services, the hospital, and its staff have won numerous state and national awards for quality in both customer service and clinical performance
- The family includes approximately 540 employees, 60 active medical staff providers, 100 courtesy and consulting physicians, and 75 volunteers
- The four-weekday hospitalists will create a coverage schedule so that: 1) 24-hour coverage is achieved Monday - Friday; 2) coverage assignments between days and nights are distributed evenly; and 3) approximately fifteen scheduled shifts are worked in any four-week schedule
- All shifts are 12 hours in length, starting at either 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM
- Approximately one-half day per week per hospitalist when working on the day shift is allocated to administrative or non-patient care duties
- Weekends are covered by our full-time hospitalist working from 6:00 AM Saturday through 6:00 AM Monday
