A prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Palliative Physician
to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic
affiliation. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center
with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and
Research department.
We are currently seeking a fellowship-trained BC/BE Palliative Care Physician to join us
in the Department of Palliative Medicine at NYCBS. Our inpatient and outpatient teams
include physicians, nurses, social workers and chaplains, and we work in a truly
transdisciplinary manner. Our hope is to find an enthusiastic, energetic, compassionate
person who has an interest in program development and education as well as clinical
care.
Principle responsibilities for this position include providing palliative medicine
consultation to clinically diverse populations in inpatient and outpatient settings, and
program development to further integrate palliative care throughout the organization.
Additional responsibilities are teaching in UME, GME, and CME programs, including
supporting the development and implementation of a fellowship program in Hospice
and Palliative Medicine. Physicians who are currently in fellowship training are
encouraged to apply. This is a wonderful opportunity for a new or experienced physician
to join our team of professionals, with the goal of helping to ensure that patients with
serious illness and their families live as well and as fully as possible.
• Base Salary 300K+ Production and Quality Incentives
• No inpatient component to this roll
