PRN Hospice Medical Director

Primary Children’s Hospital – Salt Lake City, UT

About this role:

We are searching for a collaborative physician who is interested in working with our Rainbow Kids program at Primary Children’s Hospital. Rainbow Kids is an exceptionally supportive and advocative program connecting Hospice and Palliative Care professionals with patients experiencing medical life events that can be confusing and scary. Our Rainbow Kids Caregivers focus on bringing comfort, hope, and support to our patients and their families. This position is classified as a PRN role and will require your clinical expertise on an “as needed” basis. While there are no set days or weeks for this role, we are seeking to hire a physician who can commit to 6-8 weeks per year. In this role you will be on call for 7 days at a time being paid a daily on-call rate, with additional hourly compensation if you are needed to consult or report for in person care.

What you’ll bring:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • US-based Residency training in Internal Medicine
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$7.25 - $999.99
