Supportive Care and Palliative Medicine Physician


Opportunity:

  • Join a successful program including 4 physicians and 8 certified nurse practitioners who provide consultative palliative care services including serious illness discussions, symptom management, and collaboration of care for patients with advanced medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with consulting providers of many specialties and disciplines caring for patients in the ICU, medical, and oncologic care setting.
  • Actively identify opportunities to improve the patient and family care experience.
  • Provide ongoing educational opportunities with resident physicians, as well as medical, nursing and CRNP students.
  • Full time position-Monday-Friday with weeklong call (1:9) shared among physicians and nurse practitioners.
  • Both inpatient and outpatient opportunities available
  • Flexible schedule, full-time or part-time position


Professional Skills:

  • Board-certified/Board-eligible in Palliative Medicine
  • Must be able to assess, evaluate, plan, and implement care in complex and life limiting situations.
  • Must be capable of offering specialized knowledge and skill to all members of the health care staff.
  • Must have the ability to balance emotionally challenging situations in the context of serious medical illness.
  • Team oriented with ability to provide personalized patient care as well as family support and demonstrate clinical outcomes.
  • Will consider 2024 palliative fellowship graduates for candidacy.
