ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Palliative Care, located in Greenville North Carolina, are seeking a fellowship trained Palliative Care physician to join their established Hospice and Palliative Care program. The successful candidate will provide compassionate end of life care to patients and families at ECU Health Medical Center. Applicants with Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency training are preferred.

· Established palliative care team inclusive of 2 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers
· Provide consults in both inpatient and outpatient settings in person and via a telemedicine service
· 16-bed Palliative Care Unit
· Schedule includes a 4-day work week (8 am - 6 pm)
· Weekend call 1:4
· Administrative responsibilities will include participation in hospital committees, meetings, and projects that require palliative care expertise
· Interdisciplinary care team approach
· Ability to live only an hour away from the beautiful beaches of the North Carolina coast

Clinical Responsibilities:
· Complete patient admission and discharges
· Perform daily clinical rounds on inpatient units
· Develop and update patient plans of care
· Provide clinical support and consultation for the Advanced Practice Provider team, palliative care unit, and field staff
· Direct/participate in family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings
· Participate in agency quality improvement and patient/family experience activities
· Teach and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students
· Provide care in the outpatient palliative care clinic
