The Opportunity:
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking Board Certified / Board Eligible Palliative Care physicians throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Our nationally recognized Supportive Palliative Care program (2014 AHA Circle of Life winner) offers an interdisciplinary team providing services at all our locations in an inpatient environment. Some of our teams also provide clinic-based services and there are plans to offer community based services as well.
Candidates should be interested in providing the highest quality palliative the care. Our flagship program was one of the first 10 in the nation to achieve Joint Commission certification and 5 of our teams are now Joint Commission certified with others on the way. Those who join our program will find a welcoming collaborative relationship with other serious illness service lines such as but not limited to oncology, cardiology, hospital medicine and critical care medicine. Our SPC physicians work in an interdisciplinary fashion with advanced practice professionals, child life specialists, social workers, chaplains, and allied health professionals.
Supportive Palliative Care physicians at BSWH have multiple opportunities to develop and utilize leadership skills in helping us to further develop our expanding Supportive Palliative Care services. Teaching opportunities exist in several of our hospital locations as well.
