**Palliative Care opening in Des Moines, IA** **Responsibilities:** - A consult-only role with strong referral base - Dedicated team with Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Nurse Coordinators, Social Worker, and administrative support. - Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who have strong relationships with the patients - Primarily a Monday-Friday work week with a 1:6 week after hour call allowing for a positive work/life balance - Working with a dynamic, inter-disciplinary team to provide excellent patient care. - The candidate would have an academic appointment at the University of Iowa and the position involves teaching and mentoring residents and medical students. - Average 3-4 new consults/day and 4-6 follow-up visits/day - Palliative Care service consulting only **Qualifications:** - Candidates must be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. - Fellowship training is preferred but not required with experience. - Looking for an adaptable team focused physician with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. **About the Group:** A non-profit 900-member physician group practice serving 2,000,000 patients from 280 locations in Iowa and Illinois. Clinic has a base of primary care physicians in family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics.
