Job Overview:

Requirements:
- Credentials: DO or MD, Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in Hematology
- Licensure: Active Illinois state license required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CSR License required
- DEA: Required
Responsibilities:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM, with on-call rotation (1:4 weekends)
- On-call for weekly shifts: 1-2 evenings per week from 5 PM - 8 AM
- Weekend call required (1:4 rotation)
- Clinical Work: Primarily clinic-based, with rounding responsibilities when on call.
- Patient Volume: Approximately 13-15 patients per day.
- Case Mix: 65% Hematology and 35% Oncology (primarily Hematology coverage needed)
- No procedures required
- Patient Population: Adults only, no pediatric patients
- Inpatient Responsibility: You will be responsible for both new and current inpatient Hematology/Oncology patients when on call, but there is an inpatient NP who assists with the process of rounding.

- Work Environment: Collaborative (you will not be working solo)
- Call Requirements: Weekly call with a 30-minute response time
- On Call Admissions: 0 average admissions while on call (inpatient NP assists with rounding)
