We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage in Illinois. This role primarily focuses on hematology patients with some oncology cases. The successful candidate will manage a mix of clinic and inpatient responsibilities and provide comprehensive care for adult patients.Coverage Need Details: ***Must be available a minimum of 6 weeks at a time. *** need is
predominantly for hematology pateints SHIFT/SCHEDULE INFORMATION M-F 8a-4p They
will be required to be on call. Our normal rotation is 1:4 for the weekend with one day of call
during the week when not on weekend call

Job Responsibilities

Provide care for hematology and oncology patients, with a primary focus on hematology (65% heme, 35% onc).
Conduct patient evaluations and manage ongoing treatments for clinic patients (13–15 daily).
Round on inpatients with support from an inpatient NP familiar with patient cases.
Participate in call coverage, including weeknight and weekend responsibilities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.

Qualifications

Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
Licensure: Illinois state license required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical hematology/oncology setting.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CSR License (required).
Active DEA registration.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Weekly call: 1-2 evenings per week (5:00 PM – 8:00 AM).
Weekend call: 1 in 4 rotation.
