Locum Hematology/Oncology Opening in Joplin, MO Assignment Type: Inpatient & Outpatient | Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call Assignment Dates: May 1, 2025 Ongoing Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Position Type: Locum Tenens Physician ________________________________________ Job Details: Schedule: Monday Friday with 24-hour weekend call 1 2 weekends/month Call Type: Beeper, 15-minute response time; light volume with occasional rounding Call Frequency: Weeknight and weekend (shared with another provider starting September 2025) Clinic Patient Volume: 15 23 per shift Night Call Volume: 1 2 patients Setting: Primarily outpatient clinic, with some inpatient call responsibilities EMR: Epic Clinic Staffing: 2 physicians, 2 APPs Focus: 60% medical oncology, 40% hematology Procedures: Consults, follow-ups, bone marrow biopsies preferred Admissions: Handled by hospitalists Weekend Coverage: Inpatient consults only Facility Features: Equipped with robotic-assisted surgery, IMRT, 3D radiotherapy, PET/CT, SpaceOAR Hydrogel prostate cancer therapy, and ABUS ________________________________________ Requirements: MO license or IMLC Required Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) Required ACLS, BLS, ATLS Required DEA Required Bone marrow biopsy capability Preferred Clean background Preferred ________________________________________ Additional Information: Lodging: Homewood Suites (preferred) Nearest Airport: Joplin Regional Airport Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days; emergency privileges available Future Scheduling Plan: o May August 2025: 4 weeks/month o September 2025 September 2026: 2 weeks/month (alternating with another provider)
