Oncology Hematology Physician Outpatient/Inpatient Location: Lafayette, Indiana Full Time and Permanent Position Position Overview: A growing and collaborative cancer care team in Lafayette, Indiana is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Oncology Hematology Physician to provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of oncologic and hematologic conditions. This full-time opportunity offers a supportive team-based environment, dedicated clinical staff, and access to advanced technology in a well-established, accredited cancer program. Who We re Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. They should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a desire to establish meaningful relationships with patients and the local community. Experience with both malignant and benign hematologic conditions is ideal, and board certification in both medical oncology and hematology is preferred. Position Details: Clinic Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Weekday Call: One provider on call daily Weekend Call: 1:4 Holiday Call: 1:4 Outpatient Volume: Gradually build up to approximately 21 patients/day over two years Inpatient Volume: Average of 3 patients/day Common Diagnoses: Breast cancer Lung cancer Colorectal cancer Head and neck cancers Prostate cancer Gynecologic cancers Benign and malignant hematologic disorders Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (MD/DO) Required Board Certification or Eligibility in Medical Oncology Required Board Certification or Eligibility in Hematology Preferred Indiana Medical License or eligibility Required upon hire Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association Required upon hire Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary with income guarantee and performance-based incentives Comprehensive recruitment package including relocation allowance and signing/retention bonuses Paid malpractice insurance 27 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) plus 5 paid CME days with annual CME stipend Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, and legal insurance Retirement plans: 403(b), 457(b), and 401(a) options Disability coverage: short- and long-term own occupation Marketing support and professional development opportunities About the Community: Lafayette is a vibrant and diverse city in Western Indiana with a welcoming mix of urban and rural living.
