Locums - Joplin, Missouri, Hematology/Oncology Job

Start Date: ASAP

Coverage Need: Ongoing

Preferred Schedule:

• May–August 2025: 4 weeks/month

• September 2025 – September 2026: 2 weeks/month (rotating with another provider)

Weekend Call: 1–2 weekends/month (24-hr beeper call)

Emergency Privileges: Offered within 60 days for open dates

Primary Duties: Medical Oncology & Hematology (40% Hem/Onc, 60% Med Onc)

Clinic-Based Care

On-Call: Beeper call (weekend & some evening weekday coverage)

Call Responsibilities: Phone consults and occasional rounding

Procedures:

• Consults, follow-ups

• Bone marrow biopsies (optional/work-around possible)

Clinic Volume: 15–23 patients per shift

Night Call Volume: 1–2 patients

Hospitalists handle admissions

Clinic Staff:

• 2 Full-Time Physicians

• 2 Full-Time APPs

Access to advanced technology:

• da Vinci® robotic surgery

• Elekta Versa HD (IMRT, stereotactic radiation, 3D radiotherapy)

• PET/CT, ABUS (automated breast ultrasound), SpaceOAR Hydrogel

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hem/Onc – Required

Fellowship Training – Preferred

Certifications Required: ACLS, ATLS, BLS

EMR: Epic
