Hematology Oncology Locums position in Joplin, MO- $450 hourly

Start Date: May 1, 2025 - Ongoing

Schedule/Need: ***4 weeks a month May - August and then in September, 2025-September 2026 for 2 weeks per month***

• Monday-Friday Clinic
• Hospital on-call weekend only some week day evenings, call is very light
• 24 hr on-call coverage for 1 to 2 weekends per month

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: ***Must meet ALL requirements in order to be considered for submission.***

• Active Board Certification or Board Eligible- REQUIRED
• Fellowship Preferred: REQUIRED
• Active MO license only - REQUIRED
• Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS Certifications: REQUIRED
• Supervision of APP’s: REQUIRED
• Bone marrow biopsies: REQUIRED
• CLEAN Malpractice Record: REQUIRED

Practice Description:

• EMR System: Epic
• Will Facility Accept Multiple Providers? Yes
• Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient
• Does Provider require hospital/surgery center privileges?: Yes
• Admissions Required? No
• Are temporary privileges available?: No
• Is Hospital Stroke Certified? Yes
• 2 Fulltime Physicians and 2 Fulltime APP that staff the clinic.
• Duties: Primarily Hematology patients
• Procedures: Consults, follow-ups - possible bone marrow
• Call Type: beeper with some consultation.
• EMR: Epic
• What is the average patient census per clinic shift?15-23
• Night call patient census?1-2
• What does call look like in the week and weekend? Phone calls and sometimes need to round
• Do you require BMT or BMB to be performed by the locum? Yes prefer, but can work around
• Who admits new patients? Hospitalist
• % of Hemonc versus to Medical Onc 40/60
• Any Acute Leukemia? Or Malignant Hem? No
• Will emergency privs be offered for the open dates within 60 days? Yes
