We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician for part-time locum coverage. This position will provide coverage for vacation relief and is available on an as-needed basis. The provider will primarily work in an outpatient setting with occasional inpatient consults.
  • Provide hematology/oncology care for up to 18 clinic patients per day.
  • Conduct 1-2 inpatient consults daily.
  • Work independently with support from a dedicated exam nurse and administrative staff.
  • Collaborate with two other physicians and an APP in the clinic.
  • Be available after hours for clinical care questions for admitted patients (low call volume).
  • Use Meditech for inpatient and outpatient charting.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hematology & Oncology.
  • Maryland State Medical License (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA Registration.
  • Maryland CSR License.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hematology/oncology.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

Board Certification/Eligibility in Hematology & Oncology.
Maryland State Medical License (or willingness to obtain).
DEA Registration.
Maryland CSR License.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in hematology/oncology.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Estimated 5 shifts per month for vacation coverage.
No required on-call duties.

Skills

Experience managing patients with breast, lung, colon, prostate, melanoma, lymphoma, and hematologic malignancies.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR: Meditech).
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
