Medical Center is looking for a Full Time Locum Physician to fill their Hematology Oncology need! -$450 Hourly

Start Date: As soon as credentialed - Ongoing

Schedule/Need: ***Hospitalists will be the primary providers on the Oncology floor. The locum providers will be responsible for consults and any emergency issues that might arise.

• Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage for 2 OP at secondary clinics (no transplants) 3 OP days per week at primary clinic. IP coverage of both sites; APP will cover for provider.
• Full Time coverage Monday-Friday each week
• Patient Contact Hours: 6
• Clinic days: 5
• Clinic Hours: 8-5
• Procedure/OR days: 0
• On Call: Dependent on Locum Providers Number
• Weekend Requirements: None

Submission Requirements:

• Active Board Certification - REQUIRED (Board Certified in Medical Oncology is required. Board Certified in Hematology is preferred but not required)
• Fellowship trained in Medical Oncology/Hematology - REQUIRED
• ACTIVE IA License Only - REQUIRED
• Supervision of APP's - REQUIRED

• Nursing support/Physician Nurse Ratio: Non-nursing roles
• Ancillary Staff per provider: 0.5 (scheduler, biller, CNA)
• Number of Exam rooms per provider: 2
• Medical Imaging: Yes
• Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
• Clinic Provider daily volume: 10-30
• Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 10-15 Primary, 5-8, Secondary
• Appointment Length: 20 mins.
• Patient Demographics: Primary Clinic; Medicare/ Medicaid/Commercial; Secondary Clinical; Commercial, Medicare
• EMR: AllScripts- moving to Epic in late May 2025
• Teaching Opportunity: Informal
• Services/Procedures offered in the practice: Patient assessments, new treatment plans, ongoing treatment plans, changes in therapy, referral for ancillary services, end of life care, chemotherapy management, pain management... (radiation and surgical oncology management provided by existing providers with strong relationships)
