A well-established cancer center is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens assignment. This full-time opportunity offers a balanced mix of hematology and oncology cases, with access to onsite lab and pharmacy services. The position includes a minimum commitment of six months, with the possibility of an ongoing role.

Key Details:

  • Pay Rate: $400/hour 1099 (inclusive of malpractice coverage with tail) Stipends/ Reimbursements can be discussed for non local canidates.

  • Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (minimum 6-month commitment preferred)

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4 days per week, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

  • Call Schedule: 1 day per week + two weekends required over 3 months (10/25, 11/29, 9/20 if starting by 9/16)

  • Call Coverage Locations: Phoenixville (inpatient), Pottstown (outpatient)

  • Patient Volume: 10-20 patients per day

  • EMR System: Epic

  • Lab & Pharmacy: Onsite services available

  • Infusion Chairs: 11 available

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in an inpatient and outpatient setting
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans
Oversee infusion therapy and patient monitoring
Participate in weekly call rotation and weekend coverage as needed
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Qualifications

Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology
Active Pennsylvania medical license (Required)
BLS/ACLS certification (Required)
Experience with infusion therapy and oncology case management
Strong clinical decision-making and teamwork skills

Working Hours

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Schedule: 1 weekday per week, 1:4 weekend rotation
Weekend Coverage: Two weekends over three months (10/25, 11/29, 9/20 if starting by 9/16)
