Hematology and Oncology Locum Position in Elizabethtown, KY-$500 Hourly

Start Date. Start February 17, 2025 and work the second week of each month with coverage end date around 6+ months.

Schedule/Coverage Details:

• 24-hour call starting 8am Mondays and ending 8am the following Monday
• Weekend Call is required: Call in hours to include on-site patient care during the current below dates:

1. Monday Feb 17 8am to Monday Feb 24, 8am
2. Monday Mar 17 8am to Monday Mar 24, 8am
3. Monday Apr 14 8am to Monday April 21, 8am
4. Monday May 19 8am to Monday May 26 8am
5. Monday June 16 8am to Monday June 23 8am

1. Board Certified (Boarded in medical ONC OR Hematology): REQUIRED
2. KY or compact license in hand: REQUIRED
3. Completed combined Hematology and Oncology Fellowship: REQUIRED
4. Boarded in medical ONC OR Hematology
5. Active Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA Certificate: REQUIRED
6. Clean Malpractice: PREFERRED

Position Details:

• The providers oversea the infusion center.
• The nurses will be administering chemo.
• Patients per Day Shift = 18
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospitals
• Beds: 300
• Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient
• Patient Mix: Adults and Geriatrics- no Peds
• What percentage of Hem vs Onc? 75% Hem 25% Onc.
• Mostly will need assistance with new hematology consults and follow up of established Hem and Onc patients. Locums will see patients that are stable on treatment, when their primary oncologist is not available.

This location does NOT treat acute leukemia patients or sickle cell patients.
