Healthcare system is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist with demonstrated leadership experience to serve as Medical Director and lead their cancer programs in southeastern Connecticut.


Position Overview:

  • The leader will oversee cancer care at two hospitals and four ambulatory medical oncology practice sites, all of which have been newly constructed or renovated in the last 5 years.
  • The incumbent will work closely with the region’s medical and administrative leadership team, medical oncology directors across our other 4 regions, and with senior leadership.
  • Institute is comprised of a team of more than 40 medical oncologists who are local and national leaders in their fields.
  • Many of our physicians have advanced sub-specialty training, and are backed by a full team of interdisciplinary medical and surgical specialists across the system of care
  • The Cancer Institute sees more than 7,000 analytic cases/year.
  • The institute is structured around interdisciplinary disease management teams and clinical councils that:
    • Establish standards of care
    • Develop our clinical trials portfolio
    • Foster program development to address clinical needs
