Locums – Hartford, Connecticut, Hematology/Oncology Opening Clinical Role:

  • Dates of Coverage: ASAP-6 months with opportunity to extend
  • Monday through Friday Consult Coverage 8:00AM - 4:30PM with rotating weekends
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient Oncology Unit
  • Reason for Coverage: Coverage while we recruit---Retirement
  • Call Schedule: Overnight telephonic call (rotating)
  • Call Ratio: Approx 1:8
  • Patient Population for Required Coverage: Adult, Geriatric
  • Percentage of the Practice is Hematology %, Oncology %, Internal Medicine %:
  • Hem--60%
  • Onc--40%
  • IM--0%
Number of Physicians in Practice: 7 Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage Number of APPs Provide Coverage: 1 dedicated for inpt coverage: 11 total---some round on the weekends Average Number of Patients Per Day - Hospital (Call/Rounding): Variable, approx 5-20 Clinical Area: Oncology - Inpatient Setting, Hematology - Inpatient Setting Trauma Level/Designation I Documentation System/EMR: Epic Administration of Chemotherapy: Nurse oncologist Required Procedures: Chemotherapy - Intrathecal Required Duties: Participation on a Tumor Board Orders Tests Orders Images Prescribes Board Certified/Board Eligible – Required Board Certified Oncologist – Preferred Active CT License – Required Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
