We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician (MD/DO) for a locum tenens position at a reputable healthcare facility in New York. This outpatient-focused role involves delivering high-quality patient care alongside a supportive team, with no on-call responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care.
Manage a caseload of up to 10 patients per day.
Collaborate with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, patient navigators, and fellow physicians to ensure optimal care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Epic EMR system.
Adhere to flu and COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

Education: MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certification: Required in Hematology/Oncology.
Licensure: Active New York state medical license.
Experience: No minimum years required; all qualified candidates will be considered.

Working Hours

Shifts: 3-4 days per week, consistently.
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Duration: Starting February 1, 2025, ongoing.

Skills

Proficiency in managing hematology/oncology outpatient cases.
Familiarity with Epic EMR system.
Access to a robust support team, including NPs, RNs, MAs, and patient navigators.
