We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician (MD/DO) for a locum tenens position. This opportunity involves providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, overseeing chemotherapy infusion, and managing hematology and oncology cases. The primary responsibilities include new hematology consults, follow-ups of established patients, and ensuring care continuity when primary oncologists are unavailable. The patient mix is 75% hematology and 25% oncology, primarily focusing on adult and geriatric patients.

Job Responsibilities
Conduct hematology consults and follow-ups.
Oversee the infusion center, with nursing staff administering chemotherapy.
Manage procedures such as lumbar punctures, immunotherapy, and blood transfusions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality care.
Qualifications
Board Certification: Required in both Hematology and Oncology.
Licensure: Active KY or compact license preferred.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and DEA Certification.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in hematology/oncology practice.
Working Hours
Patient Load: 18 patients per day shift.
On-Site Requirements: On-site patient care during call hours, including weekends.
Skills
Administration and monitoring of immunotherapy and radiation therapy.
Perform lumbar punctures (spinal taps) and ablation therapy.
Familiarity with blood transfusion protocols.
