Join Our Team as a Hematologist/Oncologist in Anderson, SC

AnMed is seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist for their Cancer Center in Anderson, SC. Located along South Carolina’s National Heritage Corridor, the greater Anderson area is a fast-growing and diverse county with a population of about 185,000 residents. This state-of-the-art Cancer Center has been accredited by the Commission on Cancer since 1984, offering robust oncology supportive services and an on-site radiation oncology department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full-time position covering outpatient and clinic services, with minimal hospital rounds.
  • Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am-5:00 pm with on-call responsibilities.
  • Cover practice call and inpatient care for oncology patients without weekend duties.
  • Participate in a practice that is currently in a phase of rebuilding.
  • Manage a daily patient load of 15-25, with approximately 1200 new cancer cases per year.
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management.
  • Access nationwide clinical trials through UC-NCORP.
  • Collaborate with supportive leadership and a collegial medical staff.
  • Residency within the immediate local area is required, making relocation necessary for non-local candidates.
  • Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates, but not open to locum tenens or 1099 arrangements.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology (Board Certified preferred).
  • Completed fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology.
  • Clean malpractice and license history.
  • Willingness to obtain a South Carolina medical license if not currently held.
  • Visa support may be required (J1 or H1B).

License and Certification Requirements:

  • TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology - REQUIRED
  • South Carolina License (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Completed fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology - REQUIRED
  • Clean malpractice and license history - REQUIRED
  • Visa support (if needed) - REQUIRED
