We are seeking a dedicated Hematology and Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity. This position focuses on call coverage for assigned patients, providing telehealth support during evenings and weekends. Join a respected healthcare system and deliver high-quality care while maintaining a flexible schedule.
Job Responsibilities
Evening call hours: 5 PM – 8 AM (3 nights per week).
Weekend call hours: Friday 5 PM – Monday 8 AM (one weekend per month).
Respond to patient inquiries and provide medical guidance in a timely manner (30-minute response time required).
Collaborate with other healthcare providers as necessary to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
Qualifications
Certification: Board-eligible or board-certified in Hematology and/or Oncology.
Licensing:
Active Washington State medical license required.
Licensing costs reimbursed if needed.
Certifications:
BLS and ACLS required.
ABLS preferred.
Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology is preferred but not required.
Working Hours
Weekend Call: Friday 5 PM – Monday 8 AM, one weekend per month.
Skills
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide timely medical responses.
Effective communication skills for patient interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred
