We Are seeking a dedicated Hematology and Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. This role offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative team, including experienced NPs and department oncologists, in a state-of-the-art environment.
The position requires providing care, ensuring continuity for patients while contributing to the local healthcare community.
Job Responsibilities
Perform bone marrow biopsies and administer intrathecal chemotherapy.
Provide outreach services to another facility two days a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including radiation oncology.
Share on-call duties (2 weeks/month, one week at a time).
Utilize Epic EMR and Intellidose TxM for efficient patient management.
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to real-time mobile time clock reporting.
Qualifications
Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
Licenses/Certifications:
ACLS and BLS certification required.
ATLS certification preferred.
Must meet hospital privileging requirements.
Experience with inpatient and outpatient oncology care is preferred.
Working Hours
Call duties: 2 weeks per month (shared schedule, response time 30 minutes).
Outreach to Stevens Point required two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
Skills
Experience with Epic EMR and Intellidose TxM preferred.
