Type: Locum Tenens (minimum 1-year commitment)

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term locum tenens position. This role involves outpatient-only responsibilities, with support from a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The ideal candidate will commit to a minimum of one year.

Responsibilities:

  • Onsite coverage, 3 days per week (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with flexibility).
  • Patient load of approximately 15 patients per day, handling a typical community-based hematology/oncology case mix.
  • Perform bone marrow biopsies, if desired.
  • No call responsibilities or non-heme/onc infusion duties.

Requirements:

  • License: Will accept candidates needing to obtain a Pennsylvania license or have an active IMLC
  • Board Status: Board Certified in Medical Oncology
  • Certifications: BLS and DEA required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hematology/oncology practice experience.

  • EMR: Aria (Varian Product)
  • Location: Accessible to Buffalo, Rochester, and Elmira airports
  • Patient Mix: Adult hematology/oncology, no pediatric cases
  • Support: Full-time APP for clinical support
