Planet Healthcare is actively recruiting a Locum Oncologist in Grand Rapids, MI.
Locum or Permanent position.
Practice Setting: Hospital-based cancer center. Outpatient services. Onsite lab, diagnostics, and pharmacy.
Reason for Coverage: New program growth
Percentage of Practice: Assume 50% Hematology and 50% Oncology
Average Number of Outpatient Per Day: 10-15

Procedures Required
- Chemotherapy - Intrathecal
- Chemotherapy - Intracavitary - Intrplueral/Peritoneal
- FNA/Biopsy
- Mgmt. of VAD/CV Catheters
Administration of Chemotherapy: Physician orders. Nurse Administers
Duties Required
- Participation on a Tumor Board
- Orders Test
- Orders Images
- Prescribes
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Med Staff: can issue temp credentials by start date. Payer enrollment 120 days
REQUIREMENTS
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Oncology OR Hematology/Oncology (will not accept a Hematologist who isn't Boarded in Oncology) - REQUIRED
- BLS - REQUIRED
- MI License or IMLC - REQUIRED
- Provider cannot have a long work history - REQUIRED
- Must be comfortable doing Malignant Hematology (inpatient) - REQUIRED
