We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology Oncology Physician for a locum tenens role at a hospital-based cancer center in Grand Rapids, MI. This position focuses on providing both hematology and oncology services in an outpatient setting, supported by an onsite lab, diagnostics, and pharmacy.
The role involves clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a call ratio of 1:5. This means you will participate in on-call rotations, sharing the responsibility with other physicians.
The physician will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients. The practice is divided equally between hematology and oncology, with an approximate split of 50% focus on each specialty. The average number of outpatient visits per day ranges from 10 to 15, while you will also manage an average of 15 hospital patients daily.
This position is situated in an outpatient oncology clinic with a Level 2 Trauma designation. The documentation system used is Epic.
Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology Oncology
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Active Michigan Medical License
