Locum Hematologist/Oncologist - Michigan
Assignment Dates: Starting October 7, 2024 (~10-month assignment)
Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate)
Job Details:
Location: Michigan
Practice Setting: Hospital-based cancer center with outpatient services
Onsite Resources: Lab, diagnostics, pharmacy
Reason for Coverage: New program growth
Schedule: Full-time (5 days per week) or part-time (flexible weeks on/off)
Call Ratio: 1:5
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Percentage of Practice: 50% Hematology, 50% Oncology
Physicians in Practice: 7 (across 2 locations)
APPs Coverage: Approximately 10
Average Patients per Day: Outpatient: 10-15, Inpatient: 15
Clinical Area: Oncology (Outpatient)
Trauma Level: II
EMR: Epic
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Temp credentials by start date, payer enrollment: 120 days
Required Procedures:
Chemotherapy (Intrathecal, Intracavitary - Intraperitoneal/Intrathoracic)
FNA/Biopsy
Management of VAD/CV Catheters
Chemotherapy administration (physician orders, nurse administers)
Required Duties:
Participation in Tumor Board
Orders tests, images, and prescriptions
Requirements:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology (not accepting Hematologists without Oncology certification)
BLS required
Active MI License or IMLC required
Comfortable with malignant hematology (inpatient)
Certification Requirements:
