HIGHLIGHTS
Ocala is a beautiful town located between Gainesville and Villages. It is a small city in the middle of Florida, but only two hours to the coast. People love calling Ocala home because of its weather and welcoming atmosphere. Ocala has been rated one of the top 10 places to live in Florida and one of the safest places to live.
Ocala is home to a sizable portion of the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway. The greenway features miles of walking trails, bicycle paths, and horse trails through natural Florida flora. It stretches from the Gulf of Mexico to the St. Johns River and was once a planned barge canal. Plenty of golf, tennis, and other activities exist, but its natural attractions are among the most unique in Florida. The Appleton Museum of Art houses many artifacts, including European, American, Asian, African, contemporary, and pre-Columbian art. Ocala has great Schools and colleges and is close to Universities like the University of Florida in Gainesville. The city is also home to theater and ballet companies and boasts a symphony orchestra.
