Position: Locum NP - Hematology/Oncology
Location: Teaneck, New Jersey
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to patients, including the assessment and management of cancer and blood disorders.
Perform initial assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement treatment plans.
Administer chemotherapy and other treatments, monitor patient responses, and manage side effects.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to ensure timely and effective patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing compassionate care and education about their conditions and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree with a focus on Hematology/Oncology.
Board certification in Hematology/Oncology or relevant specialty.
Valid New Jersey NP license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
Proficiency in hematology/oncology medical procedures and protocols.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
