Community and Lifestyle:

Known as the Heart of Washington Wine Country®, the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland) in the southeastern corner of the state offers a sun-drenched retreat for exploration and rejuvenation. Nestled at the confluence of the Columbia and Snake Rivers with a desert climate, easy access to these mighty waterways provides world-class recreation, majestic natural beauty and irrigation for the world-class wineries – 200 within a one-hour drive. The Tri-Cities region is three hours from Seattle and Portland by car, two hours from Spokane, and one hour from Walla Walla and Yakima. Arrive by Amtrak train and then bike or rideshare from Pasco’s Inter-modal Station to a hotel or restaurant of choice. Fly into the Tri-Cities Airport, with direct flights to and from 10 major hubs. It's home to a Department of Energy national laboratory and a highly-educated and skilled workforce.

Visitors enjoy creature comforts at local hotels and spas, carefully crafted fare from local eateries and farmers markets, and award-winning golf courses. Hands-on history is accessible throughout the region, sharing the local perspective on international events like The Manhattan Project, and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Recreational and sports enthusiasts love the Tri-Cities professional sports teams - Tri-City Americans WHL ice hockey and the Tri-City Dust Devils, a professional affiliate of the San Diego Padres.

With a population of over 300,000, Tri-Citians enjoy more than 300 sunny days a year and seemingly endless recreational possibilities on the many rivers and scenic mountains, vast golf courses, and more. And, for those wanting to get out of town, major west coast metropolitan areas including Seattle, Spokane, Portland, Salt Lake City, Denver, and San Francisco are an easy drive or flight away.

Excellent education systems, affordable housing, and plentiful arts and entertainment combine to make the Tri-Cities an excellent place to call home and grow as a medical professional.

Patient demographic is diverse. We have a large migrant population due to the agriculture in the area, but also have large employers with excellent employee insurance.

Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco, WA; nearest international airport in Seattle WA, 3.5 hrs drive.
