McLaren Bay Region in collaboration with the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is recruiting a Hematology/Oncology physician to join a well-respected practice that has served the Bay Region for more than 30 years. This employed opportunity offers an immediate practice start-up for a motivated specialist. The practice is located at a new outpatient facility offering infusion therapy, bone marrow biopsy, laboratory, and an on-site pharmacist. The 16-bay infusion center sees daily volumes of 35 to 55 patients. Market share growth available through satellite outreach. Qualified candidates will be BE/BC.
The position consists of an outpatient practice, with inpatient management at McLaren Bay Region hospital. The team includes three highly collegial providers, 5 infusion certified RN’s, and a support staff which also includes an infusion manager, clinical trials nurse, three certified genetic counselors, breast navigator and social worker.
The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is one of 72 NCI designated sites in the US for Cancer Care. Headquartered in Detroit, Michigan with 16 network sites providing a footprint which covers 46 of Michigan's 83 counties with a catchment area of 6.7 million people.
